Site Updates! And Book recommendations!
by Michael Robin Cooke on Mar.16, 2009, under Kitschchaos
I’m going to be working on the graphic design of this site some. So expect some new graphics on a magic meets business theme.
I’d been meaning to post some recommended reading, then I found that I can set up an affiliate store with Amazon.com on this site, that accomplishes the same thing, but gives the added benefit of being able to buy the book or tool instantly while supporting this site.
The books I’ve presented are all books I recommend and have benefited from greatly.
I’ve not included Wally Wattles Science of getting rich, as I’m taking advantage of its public domain status to produce a digital version with my commentary and added information, It will be available very soon.
The Principia Discordia is not a very serious occult text, and the edition presented is collectable. I do however think the text is a classic humor piece, helpful in reminding us not to take ourselves too seriously, and some magicians have worked with it and gotten interesting if not uniformly positive results.
There are no books from Aleister Crowley, I did intend to include “Magic without Tears” which is my favourite book of his, one I could recommend were it in print. As for his other work, I’ve found it vague and sometimes misleading and Thelema holds no interest for me. I’ve read a lot of it but have found that most of the magical information that really helped me most was from other authors.
D.T. Suzuki on Zen is gold, highly recommended. I consider Zen technique a foundation for successful magic, and D.T. Suzuki expresses Zen’s difficult concepts brilliantly and clearly.
The NLP (Nuero-linguistic programming) in the business section is very practical stuff, and does straddle a fine line between psychology and occult. I would’ve included a book from Tony Robbins, who is largely influenced by NLP, But found audio files and workbooks to post on my sales page – so I opted out. You can find a good book from Tony Robbins in almost any major bookstore though.
Tested Advertising Methods is a classic, the information is totally relevant, get this book!
Peter Carrol created Chaos Magic, but I do prefer the writings of Phil Hine. The ebooks from Austin Spare can be tough reads, but it is the pure source material. Visual Magic is a book you should definitely get if you are at all artistically inclined.
The tools section of the sales page represents things I’d use, that Amazon sells. I will mention that candles, oils, washes, roots and herbs I would always buy from http://luckymojo.com -I trust Cat, the proprietor, to adhere strictly to tradition when creating the oils, powders and providing the best candles, in all colors, and the best herbs and roots.
That said, I trust Amazon to carry quality goods very inexpensively, they also carry the niche products and books you may have trouble finding locally. The Swiss Army knives (I presented the ones I would use) are very good quality and very useful. The modelling compounds are good for sympathetic magic – can be made in to forms for servitors, representatives of people, and so much more. The Dremel power tool may seem an odd choice, but if you want to make your own wand or staff (lightening struck wood reccomended) – this tool is very helpful indeed, it also allows you to permanently etch sigils onto things.
Thank you for checking out the kitschchaos shop – it’s on the Tools page for now, and thank you for your business!
If you know of a really good book on either magic or business that I missed – please mention it in a comment and I’ll look into including it!

The style of writing is quite familiar to me. Have you written guest posts for other blogs?

get your ex back
Thanks for reading this blog. I’m writing this blog fairly spontaneously. As there are folks that look like folks they aren’t related to, I suppose there are writers that write in ways that my writing may remind you of. I’m new to the blog writing thing, though I have submitted articles to some online databases that others may be posting their blog, if so they’re doing it illegally if it doesn’t cite me as the author and provide a backlink to this site or kitschcore.com

If you want to hear a reader’s feedback
, I rate this article for four from five. Detailed info, but I have to go to that damn msn to find the missed pieces. Thanks, anyway!

This ‘article’ is just pushing the fact I’ve an Amazon affiliate store on this site, and talking about the stuff I’ve added to it.
You can use Amazon itself to find out more about any book or item I’ve talked about, the site features reviews of items from customers.

Aleister Crowley has an old book, Moonchild, which is good fiction on magick. Might be worth a read.

It’s good to push your Amazon store, they have a great affiliate program with such a great variety of stuff for sale. Love it!
