There’s a madness going on.

The doomsday 2012, is this a sign?

Really I believe it’s the economy. The middle class has been hit hard, it’s quite a blow to have been making $50,000 a year, getting fired and finding the next best employer is an entry level position at burger king. And no, that’s not the whole story. But it’s enough people’s stories and the attachment to what had been creates a strong enough suffering to…drive a person to madness.

Taking a few steps back, what the USA is looking more like is kind of a Dickenson paradigm – with very few very rich and the poor and middle class both impoverished.

Thank heavens for the ‘Tea baggers’ in a way, it gives a release to this fear and anger.

Now I can get political and talk about how I believe a progressive tax makes management eschew too large a salary and instead pad the salaries of employees – which is the way it was from FDR to Jimmy Carter. How protectionism is important to preserve and develop jobs. But the points are arguable and arguing them really doesn’t do much to help anyone in the here and now.

Now if you are angry or frightened, it helps to do something. Call your congressman, participate in a protest.

As a magician, this is what ‘black magic’ really is for. Don’t go up to the Pentagon and draw a gun, whatever you do, don’t do that. Instead, if you really are that angry – write your evil intent, make the sigil, dress it with your blood, maybe a spare tax form, and burn it as you launch it!

And really believe “it is done” after you do the magic.

The important thing is that you exorcised your angry intent far more safely than drawing a gun on Pentagon guards. And, a word of warning – be prepared for something bad to happen to your target. If you feel you might feel guilty – try meditation instead of magic.

As for what we can do when there’s no jobs…. You have to start a business. Especially if you are older, the jobs you have held taught you the business in which you worked, you CAN START A BUSINESS! Make your own job if there are no jobs!
