Effort & Hard Work is the key to Magic!
by Michael Robin Cooke on Apr.01, 2009, under Kitschchaos
If you want to hack reality, nothing works better than good old effort and hard work! You want to do well in school? – Study! You want to become a great artist or musician? – Practice! You want to write a great book? Write some crappy books to get them out of your system! You want to become a great business person? Brave failure after failure until you succeed!
Magic isn’t for people that need luck, it’s for people that MAKE THEIR OWN LUCK!
Ha Ha – Happy April fools day!
But the joke is this – I’m not kidding!
Sigil magic, Hoodoo, Wicca, NLP, Law of Attraction – all magic requires a path to fulfilment! Sure, there are people that are magicians and spend their time doing magic and little else – that’s one game you can play. But if you’re interested in magic to grow a business, to get a lover, to become powerful, to become masterful – you have to do the work! And the work looks like the effort and hard work of a puritan work ethic!
If you look on this blog, I have Google advertising. And what’s being sold? Spells! To get rich! – To get a lover! And you know what -they likely work! I could do that too, and guarantee you a positive result! As a customer you’d get results too! But you’ll never transform your life with such magic! My magic will maybe help you get a promotion or a job, but it won’t help you keep that position if you don’t work hard at providing value for your employer. My magic may help you find a lover, but it’s up to you to be faithful and worth the while of someone else to associate with. My magic may win you a critical business success, but if you don’t provide value to your customers the success will be very brief.
The point of this site is to get you casting your OWN spells. To get you to wake up to the idea that every act of will is magic, that your life is a work of art to create what you will! If you can own that your willed acts are magic – that effort and hard work is MAGIC!Commit yourself to your goals, be in action taking the steps required to meet your goals! You can transform your life!
Effort and hard work doesn’t work for everyone, we all know this. But it will work for a Magician! That’s the difference! If you routinely back up your sigil magic to provide a path for fulfilment – doing the hard work that’s needed – your magical success will be staggering!
If you take the content of this post to be something to disregard as an April Fool’s joke, and choose to use magic as an alternative to doing the work, you may create your own reality – but you’ll be the only one living in it.

I see alot of NLP in your writing, lots of Presuppositions, and i do have to comment that we both understand that hard work is the basis for success. And the more we think about this the most we realize that even though there can be pitfalls in everyones success, having a positive attitude and a strong will and determination will eventually push you above your competitors.

I do not know if I agree with your post here. See you do make a good point, I don’t believe you’ve really given a lot of thought to the other side of the argument. Maybe I could do a guest post or a follow-up, just make me aware.

Well, I take pride in looking at as many sides of an idea or concept as possible before taking a position. Also, understand that the purpose of this site, using magic specifically for business enhancement, necessarily colors my advice on this blog.
my email is admin@kitschchaos.com, you’re welcome to post a guest article there and I’ll repost it here (unless I think it poor quality).
That said, let me argue for my point of view some. Those that do win the lottery, for example, rarely change their life and in a few years are often as poor as when they began.
Magic can in a very spooky way deliver even a very substantial result. The other reason to put in effort is to create a pathway for the result to manifest appropriately. So when you get the result of a money windfall from your magic, it’s because you hit the lottery or a new business success and not because a favorite uncle died and left you a fortune in their will.
