Random Blog + Zen toon

Okay, I have been getting replies to posts here. Mostly congratulating me on site content and design, sometimes critical of the design.
I am aware the current blog theme doesn’t hold together all that well when not in its frame (http://kitschchaos.com/blog.html). At some point I’m either going to hack this theme or roll my own.
As for question relating to: ‘how do I with my blog…’. I’m sorry, it’s simple stuff and I lack the patience. I’m using my own webhost account with cpanel, WordPress was auto-installable with Fantastico. Every webhost I work with has to be linux with cpanel and Fantasico (I understand cpanel can be a pain for server administrators, but it’s wonderful for end users, and I’m mostly an end user). The technology is labelled ‘LAMP” for Linux, Apache,MySql and PHP.
If you want webhosting like I describe, I presented 3 such hosts in this blog post, including one amazing host offering such quality hosting for FREE.
I do intend to learn PHP, but am currently working on coding html and working with css.
WordPress themes may be accessed from wordpress itself. If it doesn’t auto install a theme, just download the zip file and upload the file (follow instructions, I forget if you upload the zip file or the uncompressed directory) to the wordpress directory for themes on your server.
If you want to see how I’m doing, my first hand coded html and CSS is here http://kitschchaos.com/articles/chaosmagic_sigils.htm If you notice, the type is larger and the typesetting is easier to read. I need to update this blog with my css knowhow, I will too. -Have to adjust the permissions on my server though.
If you want to use the theme I’m using – the credits are at the bottom of this blog. The theme is called ‘pixel’.
Where’s my reply?
If you posted a reply to one of my posts and you don’t see it, it was labelled ‘spam’ and I felt the comment wasn’t worth posting anyway. Akismet checks referring urls against a database of known spam, so your site may be on such a list. I read all comments, spam or not, posted or not.
A valuable reply would be related to the content of a post. Especially comments, what you believe to be a correction, and especially your questions. But relating to reality hacking or business. I’ll overrule a spam designation if the content is worthwhile and your comment will post. Be aware though, that links to porn, gambling or anything legally dubious -hurts THIS site in the eyes of search engines, and will not be posted under any circumstances.
Zen cartoon
Since I’m using this post to handle site administration and other geeky stuff like spam, I’ll post one of my cartoons for those feeling burned by not having any realtity hacking content.
Now, understand this cartoon is based on an authentic story of the Zen tradition, tho perhaps the original is less violent.
Understand that Zen Buddism champions the concept that enlightenment is a sudden spontaneous thing, interrupting ‘logical’ thought being believed an effective way to stimulate such a sudden spontaneous phenomena. The content of enlightenment is indescribable in language – but pointing at it with language it might consist of a sense of spectacular interconnectedness of all life combined with a sense of ultimate possibility, or ‘emptiness’.
The art of interrupting logical thought involves questions that defy obvious logic or demand answers defying logic, sometimes violence is used – effective as a function of its shock value.
Here then, for entertainment value, is a zen story that is as ridiculous as it is violent and funny. It’s so extreme, I thought to substitute ‘Power of Positive Nihilism’ so as to not prejudice readers against Buddhism or Zen. I expect Kitschchaos readers to be smarter than that.

Hey guys. Well, I want to start my own website. I know, I need web hosting but no clue what I should be looking for in a web hosting provider. I was reading some reviews on web page hosting but curious if members here can recommend any service provider from your own experience. I found two providers but they require 1 or 2 year payment and I am not in position to pay in advance. thanks in advance.

Don’t come here asking for advice while at the same time being in the business of giving advice – the most you can hope for is to insult the business you’re representing. When monthly rates are very low, it’s not unusual to pay for a year in advance, if you must pay monthly you may be able to establish monthly billing by directing contacting the host support yourself (you may pay a slightly higher rate)

I’ve been studying the art of Zen recently. Your cartoon is funny and violent but makes a very salient underlying point about challenging logical thougth and all that it entails. Me likee.

The average drinker will get sick and throw up their alcohol well before they would suffer alcohol poisoning to an extent of falling into a coma.
0.35%–0.40% is the percentage of blood alcohol that can be lethal, 0.40% will kill about 50% of humans.

Well, a random response to a random blog is fine.
I did butcher your site link tho, I did look it over – it’s just I’ve staked out a position in opposition to payday loans and that’s the business your link points to, so I won’t allow links to such businesses if possible.
As for making a website yourself, you may want to google “website templates”, there’s many graphic artists offerring website templates for a modest price, there are others that may even offer free templates. If your business could benefit from user content, consider using drupal. An example on this site is here, though the inertia of this site has been this blog, I’m looking into ways to get more participation from readers as contributers.
If you want to take advantage as an early adopter, post an article to the forum, ask a question. It’s interactive! I’ll respond!
